STARBASE 2.0 Robotics teams are getting ready to RUMBLE.  On Saturday November 9, two of the three Cheyenne STARBASE 2.0 teams participated in a FIRST LEGO League scrimmage.  NUCLEAR Explosion came in second and the Gadget Girls came in third.

NUCLEAR Explosion meets on Monday night at STARBASE. They are partnered with 4H. There are 20 boys and five coaches. Up until now, the team had four different prototypes to test for the competition.  They have settled on one and are now fine tuning it.  The project, construction and team leaders have been chosen as well as the design for the T-shirt.  The team is calling themselves NUCLEAR Explosion.

The “Gadget Girls” team is sponsored by a grant from Kiwanis. They meet on Monday night at STARBASE and are partnered with the Girl Scouts. All team members are STARBASE graduates.  In addition to two coaches, Lil’ Red from STARBASE is an additional coach.

Our third team, “Team Techno” meets at the Laramie County Library on Fridays. This team has over 20 children, a majority of them STARBASE graduates.
